Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a HospitalistAdmitter to join our team at the Academic Health Center in downtown Indianapolis!
Join a well-established, supportive team of physicians and advanced providers at a large academic tertiary center
Serve as full time Hospitalist doing admissions only for IU Health's adult academic health center
Full-time, Days (7 on/7 off, 7am-7pm)
Collaborate with other attending physicians and consultants
Perform or supervise the performance of patient care services to include: history and physical examination, diagnosis, daily patient evaluation, daily progress notes, discharge evaluation, discharge summaries, and medically manage and treat adolescent and adult patients
Take transfer center calls to accept referred patients from outside hospitals or outpatient clinics
Work along side of ED staff and a team of advanced practice providers to advance the care of admitted patients as well as provide the care in the ED while patients are on hold
Involvement and supervision of medical students and residents, including a faculty appointment
Residency training in Internal Medicine
Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
Compensation includes a base salary and WRVUs
