WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking an experienced PRN Advanced Practice Providers (APPâ™s) to begin an in-house nocturnist program to further strengthen our existing hospitalist service located at Franciscan Physician Network IMPACT Center in Mooresville, IN.  The Nocturnist APPâ™s will work at the top of their licenses as they cover the hospitalist programâ™s inpatients (including ICU), admissions from the Emergency Dept and provide cross-coverage (with remote hospitalist physician back-up).

Franciscan Health Mooresville is positioned for growth with planned expansions of its medical office buildings to increase specialty coverage.  To meet this growth, the Hospitalists will be adding a full-time physician and in-house APPs at night.  These new providers will join 5 full-time Hospitalists and 3 full-time APPs already covering the program.   

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have at least two years of post-training experience with acute care experience preferred. In addition, the candidate must have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.  APP will need to work collaboratively with patients and their hospitalist physician and emergency department colleagues to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of care.

ACLS certification and willingness to become privileged for intubations and line placement (Franciscan can provide training) is required.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Traditional PRN Schedule

• Average nightly inpatients: 15 â“ 20 patients per night

• Average nightly admits from emergency department: 2 â“ 10 patients per night  

• APP will be sole provider during night shifts

• Trained in procedures or willingness to learn:

  • Intubations

  • Line placements

• Opportunity to help develop this new service and opportunity to work at the top of your license

• Provision of cross-coverage to supplement nocturnist coverage at another Franciscan hospital

• Common Diagnoses:

  • Predominantly Orthopedic cases

  • Colorectal surgery

  • Podiatric surgery

  • Urologic

  • Gynecologic

  • General Internal Medicine
