Deputy Physician in Chief, Education & Faculty Affairs

The primary focus of the Deputy Physician in Chief, Education and Faculty Affairs will be to develop a coordinated institutional effort across all educational programs and address global issues that challenge faculty (with burnout, health equity, diversity & inclusion, and support for promotions as examples). Education is an integral part of Memorial Sloan Ketterings (MSK) core mission. Education programs of excellence focus on clinical trainees primarily through the Graduate Medical Education Program (GME), as well as continuing medical education (CME) for medical staff. The DPIC will have the independence to prioritize the development and/or enhancement of institutional educational programs and optimize resources for trainees and medical staff (mental health support, resilience training, faculty development support, etc.). The goals are to support faculty across their career trajectory at MSK and to adapt clinical education programs to the changing landscape of clinical cancer care and survivorship in collaboration with clinical departments. The successful candidate will be a physician with strong academic credentials and experience in clinical education and/or faculty development. They will be passionate and personally driven to develop and enhance effective and efficient clinical education programs as well as developing programs to support faculty development.
