The Newington, CT VA Medical Center seeks a highly-motivated internal medicine/family practice physician for a position at our Newington campus. This is a full-time primary care position with some opportunity for resident teaching and supervision. Our Newington campus combines the best of both worlds with its suburban feel and close proximity to Hartford, a thriving city with a large airport. VACT adheres to the medical home model of primary care delivery.
We are team-based and patient centered with an emphasis on top of licensure work and proactive care. Our clinics include integrated mental health, clinical pharmacists, social workers, registered dieticians and care coordinators.
Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Salary Range: Up to $225k per year

Selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Participation is based on funds availability.
U.S. citizenship: Must be a US citizen. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens
English language proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English
Physical standards: All applicants must meet the physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to employment may be required.
Licensure and Registration: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
Educational requirements: Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
