Faculty Positions Nova Southeastern University College of Medical Sciences invites applicants for two full-time, 12 month faculty positions (Rank TBD) in the areas of Pharmacology and Microbiology. Essential Job Functions: - Prepares, teaches, grades, and assesses student learning in courses assigned.
- Selects teaching and evaluation strategies appropriate to students.
- Structures classes to correspond with curriculum, program, and course outcomes.
- Provides perspectives that include a respect for diverse views; responds to student inquiries.
- Provides and maintains office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation, and consultation.
- Participates in department and college wide committees and meetings.
- Participates in state and/or local community service that is a recognized form of career development.
- Mentors and/or orient new faculty as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions: - Engages in curriculum development related to current and new courses.
- Maintains a personal professional development plan, which may include research and/or other creative activities, to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
- Displays behavior consistent with professional ethics.
- Guides students during laboratory practical sessions
