Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC seeks a Hospitalist at its facility located at 20201 S. Crawford Avenue, Olympia Fields, IL 60461. S/he will provide direct patient care on a full-time basis to meet the needs of patients and communicate in a professional and timely manner with patients and their families, co-managing physicians, and other members of the care team and primary care physicians. S/he will utilize the prevailing communication tools and processes as determined by Franciscan Alliance. S/he will prepare specific, accurate and timely medical records using Franciscan Alliance’s EMR technology that is free from unprofessional content or extraneous commentary un-related to patient care. S/he will participate according to the practice’s established policy in Rapid Response Teams (RRT’s) and Code Blue situations if requested by the hospital VPMA. S/he will participate in SPI and Franciscan Alliance quality, utilization review and clinical documentation improvement mechanisms designed to improve the quality and efficiency of the physician services. S/he will adhere to and follow patient care protocols established by SPI and Franciscan Alliance. S/he will assist with third-party credentialing, billing and collection matters in a specific, timely and accurate manner, including Medicare and Medicaid, third-party payors. In addition, s/he will be responsible for recruiting additional or replacement physicians and will be required to participate in regular SPI activities such as committees, all physician meetings, and task forces which promote excellence in SPI performance.
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Employer will accept ECFMG equivalency to MD. Must have completed residency in Internal Medicine from an accredited university. Additionally, must have 1. License to practice medicine in Illinois; and 2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine specialty. Apply below.
