Responsibilities will include:
Admitting, caring and discharging patients as requested by the physician
Supervising, overseeing and teaching medical students, interns, and residents while on sight
Maintaining the Standards of the Department of Pediatrics by promoting high quality, cost effective care based on the best medical evidence, and utilizing Care Management initiatives such as Clinical Pathways, standardized orders and discharge summaries
Participating in Hospital Committees as needed
Collecting data to assess patient care and satisfaction studies
Making best efforts to keep current with developments in pediatrics, medical management and related areas through CME Programs, medical literature review and Medical Staff conferences
Conforming with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance Programs, Medical Center policies and procedures for patient privacy, and Information Security policies and procedures
NYS Medical License
BC/BE and trained in Pediatrics
Ability to teach
BLS/PALS/AED training, which will only be accepted from two organizations (AHA or American Red Cross, NO online programs from any organization will be accepted)
